What a day

Indeed... I have not been sleeping properly for the last, erm, four weeks. Yes, I know, I am picturing Joseph saying "That's unhealthy... you look unhealthy... you should try and get some sleep or you'll explode!" But honestly, sometimes I need to stay up to finish the usual work and school stuff... and for the remaining times, I am just not in the mood to do it. Anyway, I found it difficult to get up today to the extent that I almost get late! No harm done, though...

School is just starting, so I know this week will be quite introductory and relaxed. As for every Tuesday and Thursday, I have got three subjects in the morning, which are Health Psychology, Politics and Economy in Mexico (I will never get used to saying I enrolled in that class), and Postmodern Therapies. As explained in a previous post, it was the latter subject the one I was expecting to have most. It will sound funny, but it is because I have always been curious about getting to know Professor Dora, which is one of the most mysterious persons I have ever seen. Why? I would not be able to explain it. You would need to see her in order to know what I mean...

Whoa, the weather is awful lately. Too hot, indeed. I wished we had a pool at our Faculty campus so that we could swim a bit. And having long hair does not help at all, you know; I will not have a shorter haircut, though, so I guess I am a masochist or something like that...

I am finding truly difficult to keep up the "vegan" initiative for I cannot find veggie food anywhere! Thankfully, I could manage to get a salad sandwich at the school's cafeteria (bizarre). And no, I have got no time for cooking on my own. I will have to ask Joseph for some good ideas for such critical situations in which you have not got anything else to eat. Anyway, I spent a some neat quality time with Javier whilst having lunch in which we cogitated about postmodernism and its implications... crazy stuff, I promise!

I went to the Science Campus to deliver my application for Human Computer Interaction (HCI), the subject I registered for at Math School. It has been three years now since I last took a subject there, so I am having mixed feelings about going back. Of course it is not the same: new principal, new coordinators, new people... my generation has graduated already; good for them. So yes, I am enthusiastic about having HCI because I know it is a subject directly related to my interests.

As for the rest of the day... I got home and headed directly to my room to get some rest. And I did rest for a couple of hours. I performed the daily ritual of checking and dispatching all the incoming emails (thankfully no more than 10 for today) before getting up again and review some readings I will have my students read during our class (tomorrow). Oh, and I have not done all of assignments yet, so I had better do something about that. For a change, I want to excel this semester. It is time to show the world what I am assuredly capable of doing.
